Synopsis

Ziad leads a life of simple, controlled routine, crunching numbers for an unseen corporation. But when a series of seemingly inconsequential occurrences results in him taking in a small street cat, his strictly maintained sense of order goes out the window.


Director’s biography and filmography

Wajdi Elian was born in Beirut in 1976. After completing a degree in film studies at the Institut d’Etudes Sceniques et Audio-Visuelles (IESAV), Saint Joseph University in Beirut, he collaborated on several documentary film projects. He has also collaborated with the electronic music act MUNMA on a number of albums and live performances, in Lebanon and France. A Place to Go is his first short fiction film. It received a Special Jury Mention at the 2011 Dubai international Film Festival.
